Fifi The Cat Therapist

Sometime last year (2014) I was approached by Pipsqueak Films to be animation Director for the "Fifi: Cat Therapist" webseries for the Dreamworks TV youtube channel. Here's one of my favorite shots that I animated.
Here's the link to the series on youtube: Fifi Cat Therapist

Here's another shot from the same episode of Oishi High School Battle. I believe I did this one after the shot of Noodles running, and probably used the same feet, and just altered them to fit Mucussance.
There's no shame in cheating, that's what Flash is really good for, when learning flash, How To Cheat in Flash was one of my favorite book series, the first one I bought was the edition for Flash CS3, there's been one for every version ever since, I still buy them just to keep supporting a fellow artist. There's a lot of neat tricks in those books, highly recommend them. Below is a link to buy the latest edition from Amazon.

Noodles Running Away

I'm trying to bring back to life this old thing that used to be my blog for a very short period of time. Last post was several years ago. Anyway, here's one of my favorite shots I got to animate on Oishi High School Battle Season 3.  Below is the actual link to the youtube video.

Just Dance 2

Earlier this year, I got the chance to work over at ARSONAL, my first project was to create this banner for the video game Just Dance 2. They had a mock up of what they wanted it to look like, and it was up to me to create. Working for an ad agency is always really fast paced, the majority of the times, you have about 4 hours to create something that looks good, and you might be able to buy a bit more time to touch up here and there, but usually 4 hours is what you have to prove yourself. The mock up I was given, was really motion graphics heavy, and almost felt like it'd be better suited for After Effects, but I took the challenge, and a few hours later, I had something to show. I hate to take full credit for this unit entirely, but Tim, over at Arsonal, added small touches that really made the unit shine. Anyways, I was really proud with how it turned out, here it is, in all of its magnificent glory.

Googly Bands

Two weeks ago, I was hired by Imperial Toy Machine to create a 30 second flash advert for their Googly Bands product. I was involved from concept, all the way to the delivery. I was sole animator, and I had 25 hours to put this all together. I had a lot fun creating it, and it was my first time working with Imperial. Towards the end of this product, music, and sfx were added, and it might end up on end caps at your local walmart. I went in creating a flash piece for their website, and I came out delivering just that, and a bit more since it might be used as a mini commercial. I'd call that a success. Anyhow, here's the link.

"Calorie Bike"

Here's some character designs and background and other goodies from the "Calorie Bike" exhibit that also resides in the South Carolina Children's Museum.
Project was really fun to work on, and I was in charge of all character design, background design, animation, and the whole enchilada, except for the programming, Dan had a hard time getting this one working properly.

It also gave me a constant attack of the MUNCHIES!

You can't tell from this picture, but there was a giant foot following him.

Some ATL, they originally tried casting T.I., but he wasn't available

I dont't know what's up with the low rez grape. Looks like he burned off quite the pixels
I'll upload a sketch of this background as soon as I find it. Translated quite nice I think...

Character line up, Calorie counts are approximate, and Below, the different UI comps and layouts I designed. I think the last one at the bottom ended up being what they went with at the end. One of my favorite projects that I've worked on, quite happy with how it turned out.
